Management and protection of personal information
On-line booking requires the publication of certain personal information by the user, such as name and surname, home address, telephone number, credit card details (i.e. number and expiry date), age, sex etc.

This personal information (personal data) is stored by Hoteplal in an electronic (or paper) data base in accordance with the terms and stipulations of Law No.2472/1997 regulating the protection of persons and personal information, and in accordance with all laws and stipulations in force both in Greek and in European law on the subject of consumer protection and commercial transactions conducted over the internet.

The personal information provided by the user and stored in the above mentioned database is confidential. This information may only be used by hotel management for reasons concerning services provided to the user/client by the hotel, for informing clients about offers, new facilities or services, and in any research and study carried out by the group for creating new services or improving existing services, as well as for statistics and advertising.  At no time will this information be revealed to third persons unless legally required by the police, Public Prosecutor, any legal or official public administrative, financial or other authority for the purposes of the eradication or control of criminal acts or within the framework of official investigations for the purpose of the eradication or control of criminal acts carried out by the user or in which the user has participated either directly or indirectly.

Secure ON-LINE booking – Clear2Pay, ProxyPay3/M-POS
The Hotelpal has given particular emphasis to the safety of on-line bookings made on its site. All bookings are carried out using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), with extremely powerful 128-bit encryption to prevent any personal information provided by the user in the course of on-line booking from being accessed or altered while on the Internet. This is the most powerful form of encryption for the exchange of information between net users and web servers. All information exchanged is encrypted by the dispatch software and decoded by the receptor software to ensure secure transfer of information. SSL is used alongside a mechanism that automatically checks that information has not been modified in any way during transfer.
